Oregon’s Driving under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) service system is complex with several coordinating state and local partners. Oregon Health Authority/Addictions and Mental Health Division assists DUII Offenders when one or more of our partners are no longer involved with the DUII case.

Hardship Permit

Eligibility for a hardship permit includes:

  • Alcohol and Drug Evaluation and Screening Specialist (ADES)
  • Alcohol and Drug Treatment Providers
  • Oregon DMV

Partners' Services

  • Arresting agency and jail
  • Sentencing
  • Screening, referral to approved treatment and monitor for court
  • Certified to provide the DUII Treatment Completion Certificate
  • Driving privileges
