    Delta Ponds Exemplary wetland and stream projects honored
    Two Eugene-area projects will receive State Land Board Awards at the April 9 public meeting in Salem. The Eugene Water and Electric Board will receive the Wetland Project Award for their Roosevelt Operations Center wetland mitigation project, and the City of Eugene will receive the Stream Project Award for their Delta Ponds restoration. 2012 marks the eighth year of presenting awards for projects that promote responsible, sustainable stewardship of Oregon's natural resources.

    The board also will receive the annual Common School Fund investment report from the Office of the State Treasurer, and discuss long-term sustainability of the fund.

Economic Stimulus and Recovery Information
Department of State Lands building
The Department of State Lands (DSL) received both state and federal economic recovery funds for projects. In 2009, DSL received state Go Oregon! funds for projects to improve state land assets. Recently, federal stimulus funds were awarded for studying sediment levels on coastal rivers.
